The bike lane to everywhere, for everyone

The Holgate bike lane is a part of a growing network of bikeways in the city of Portland. Aside from bridging the gap between bikeways on 122nd and I-205, and connecting to a bike route on 112th, there are destinations and residences along holgate that deserve safe access no matter how their visitors are traveling.

Newly accessible desitinations along the bike lanes include:

Recreation:

Earl Boyls Park
Boomington Park
Raymond Park

Institutions:

Gilbert Heights Elementary School
Ron Russel Middle School
Religeous Institutions

Businesses:

Takahashi
Tonys Garden Nursery
Plaid Pantry
Health Clinics
Neighborhood Pubs

Transit:

Green Line MAX
#71 Bus

An alternate route such as the springwater corridor trail could not serve all of these destinations as well as Holgate does. If the lanes are extended a little farther west, they could also reach Eastport Plaza and the Holgate branch of the Multnomah County Library.
